Movie Review: Facing The Giants

Hey sweets!
I hope you all had a great Easter, celebrating the ressurection of our Lord - the greatest miracle and gift! I had a blast!
Yes, I've been away for a little bit. My WIP (work in progress) pretty much took up what was left of my blogging time.
No worries, here I am.
Way back in February, my youth group had a movie night. And what did we watch?
Facing the Giants!

The Story
From the award-winning producers of FLYWHEEL comes a new, action-packed, family-friendly drama about a high school football coach who draws up a new game plan for his team … and himself.
In his six years of coaching, Grant Taylor has never had a winning season. Even the hope of a new season is squelched when the best player on his Shiloh Eagles decides to transfer schools. After losing their first three games of the season, the coach discovers a group of fathers are plotting to have him fired. Combined with pressures at home, Coach Taylor has lost hope in his battle against fear and failure.
However, an unexpected challenge helps him find a purpose bigger than just victories. Daring to trust God to do the impossible, Coach Taylor and the Eagles discover how faith plays out on the field … and off.
With God, all things are possible …
My review
I honestly like a good American football movie and this one certainly did NOT disappoint.
This movie had a STRONG message involving faith and trusting in God and His promises. I mean, I couldn't stop saying "amen", "hallelujah" and "preach it" all through the movie. It's THAT kind of movie. It got me all geared up in my seat and I got so involved as I watched. It's a movie that basically everyone can relate to, one way or the other. And man was I encouraged! Seriously, I mean it. This movie is a great encouragement. It reminded me that we can do anything as long as we give it our best and make honouring God number one in what we do! It all comes down to lifting God's name up in every single thing. There is great reward in that!
Whats more, I found it was perfect for ALL ages.
I will definitely be watching it again. It had too many great quotes.
Check out the trailer:
"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV
Have you seen the movie? If so, what did you like about it?
