Memory Verse of the Week: Bold as a Lion!

Hey there lovelies!

I trust we've all had a wonderful week so far! God's been so good, showing me signs of his love from all sides...He is truly AWESOME.

I'm here with this week's memory verse of the week. Last week, we looked at 2 Timothy 1:7, how God has not given us a spirit of fear but that of POWER, LOVE AND A SOUND MIND! I'm still learning to apply this to my everyday life but I'm getting there through His grace.

This week's verse, goes along the same lines (just to make sure the message sinks in). It's actually a passage I love so much!

It's found in Proverbs 28:1

"The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion" (NKJV).

It's important to know that in our everyday life, as we do those trivial things demanded of us in our daily routine we are to be BOLD! The enemy will attempt to make you cower, the enemy might want to use someone around you to intimidate you so you can run into a corner BUT THE BIBLE SAYS WE ARE TO BE BOLD AS A LION!

What are the characteristics of a lion? A lion is said to be the King of the jungle. A lion NEVER backs down or cowers. A lion stands it's grounds. I mean, have you ever seen a lion roar on TV? It could give you goosebumps. I mean, lions portray so much CONFIDENCE. So much of it!

Are you as bold as a lion or do you cower away.

Look, you are 'gods and children of the Most High' (Psalm 82:6/ John 10:34). You have a Daddy up in Heaven who SPEAKS AND IT COMES TO PASS. You have a Daddy who can make rich and make poor (1 Samuel 2:8). You have a Daddy who REIGNS. And that Daddy loves you to bits!

A little girl or boy who's treated like royalty by his/her parents goes out and act like royalty! Are you acting like you KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHERE YOU'RE FROM? Or are you bent over in self pity, leaving room for intimidation?

Be someone who won't take no for an answer. Be someone who will look others right in the eye and speak with confidence!

The enemy attacks Christians in their confidence. Why? Because if you are not bold you cannot propagate the gospel! Child of God, in order to do that which God has called you to do, YOU HAVE TO BE BOLD. In order to confront demons and demonic spirits you have to be bold!

The Bible says to resist the devil and He shall flee (James 4:7)! How do you resist the devil if you are shaking in your boots? When tempted in the dessert Jesus spoke to the devil with AUTHORITY! That same confidence and authority is demanded of us.

There are so many stories in the bible of those who decided to be bold! I encourage you to read them:

  • David: 1 Samuel 17
  • Micaiah: 2 Chronicles 18
  • Elijah: 1 Kings 18:21 -end
  • Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: Daniel 3

So, just as well in your faith, speak the gospel to those around you with boldness. Let them know the truth so that they may be set free. Please, let us not be afraid of the gospel...only it can break the chains of those in bondage around us!

Truth is, when we stand up for God He stands up for us!

Let us go through the rest of this week with this simple truth in mind!

Blessings and Love!

Oh and remember, BE BOLD, BE STRONG, for the Lord Your God is with you! So, walk in victory!

faith comes by hearing the word of God, more that you say it the more it manifests the power of the tongue!!

    1. That's true sis! As my pastor says endlessly, "repetition is the law of lasting impression". The more you repeat it, the more it sinks in and when you finally believe it, it manifests!

      Thanks for droping by!
